Large Scale Mural Iconography and Iconostasis

In addition to panel icon commissions, I specialize in the planning, design, execution, installation, and restoration of large-scale ecclesial iconographic projects, including complete iconostases, monumental mural iconography, marouflage installations, liturgical furnishings, chapel iconography, and comprehensive church beautification programs.

Whether your project involves a single mural, the restoration of existing iconography, design and execution of iconostasis iconography, the addition of a new section within an already decorated church, or the planning and execution of a complete iconographic program for an entire parish, I am available to assist at every stage of the process.

I am experienced in both direct on-site mural painting and marouflage iconography, and I work within a variety of traditional and contemporary Orthodox iconographic schools and styles. This allows me to design and execute entirely new iconographic programs as well as develop additions that integrate seamlessly with preexisting mural cycles and established parish aesthetics.

The process begins with a virtual consultation during which I listen to your goals, discuss the needs of the parish, review existing conditions, and answer any questions regarding materials, techniques, scheduling, budgeting, and iconographic planning. Following our discussion, I prepare a project proposal tailored to the specific needs of your church, including recommendations, scope of work, and an estimated cost for the project.

Because every church possesses unique architectural, liturgical, artistic, and logistical requirements, large-scale projects are individually evaluated and priced according to their specific scope, complexity, materials, travel requirements, installation needs, and overall program design.
